Terms of Service

Thank you for choosing Wav, an AI-driven music generation platform operated by Wav Ltd. Singapore. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and Wav Ltd ("Company," "we," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service

Wav provides a platform where users can generate music through AI by entering text prompts or uploading audio files. Users can customize and download the generated content for personal or commercial use, subject to the terms herein.

2. Eligibility and access

  • Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have your guardian's consent.
  • Access Methods: Users can log in using OTP via email or social login (Google, Facebook, Apple, Discord).
  • User Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your login credentials. You are liable for any activity performed through your account.

3. Generated and uploaded content

3.1. Generated music

  • Users on paid plans have full commercial rights to their generated content.
  • Audio files publicly available on discover, are royalty free and we grant non-exclusive commercial usage of the sound effects, sounds and songs
  • By using the Service, you grant Wav a royalty-free, non-exclusive, and perpetual license to use, showcase, and distribute generated music for improving the Service, marketing, and training purposes.

3.2. Uploaded content

  • You retain ownership of uploaded files but grant us a license to process them as necessary for providing the Service.
  • You confirm that uploaded content does not infringe any intellectual property rights or violate applicable laws.

3.3. Prohibited content

  • You may not upload or request content that is defamatory, infringing, or violates any laws or regulations.

4. Usage restrictions

You agree not to

  • Use the Service for illegal, harmful, or malicious purposes.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or copy the Service or its algorithms.
  • Overload, disrupt, or impair the functionality of the platform.
  • Build scrapers or similar programs in an attempts to gain access to Wav's technology.
  • Violations of these restrictions may result in immediate suspension, termination of your account and legal action.

5. Payment and Subscription terms

  • Free Plan: Users have limited access to the Service without cost.
  • Paid Plans: Additional credits or features can be purchased. All payments are final and non-refundable except as required by law.
  • Auto-Renewals: Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date.

6. Third party integration

Wav integrates with third-party services (e.g., Google Analytics, cloud storage). We are not liable for disruptions or issues caused by these external services.

7. Intellectual property

All intellectual property related to the Service, including algorithms, UI design, and branding, belongs exclusively to Wav Ltd. or it's affiliated companies. Unauthorized use or reproduction of any part of the Service is prohibited.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law

  • Wav is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service.
  • Liability for claims related to third-party APIs is limited to the extent of the terms provided by those third parties

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Wav Ltd from claims, damages, and expenses resulting from:

  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Your misuse of the Service or any content generated/uploaded through it.

10. Modification of the terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Updates will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Fair Usage Policy – Ultra Plan

The Ultra Plan provides “unlimited” access for professional users, subject to this Fair Usage Policy. To ensure reliable and high-quality service for all customers, Wav monitors usage to prevent activity that places an unreasonable load on our infrastructure or impacts platform stability.

“Typical usage” refers to the activity levels and consumption patterns of at least 95% of Ultra Plan users. The Ultra Plan is designed for normal professional and creative use and is not intended for automated systems, large-scale data processing, reselling, or other atypical workloads that could cause disproportionate strain on our systems.

Wav may take reasonable measures - such as temporarily throttling usage, applying rate limits, or offering an alternative plan - if account activity significantly exceeds what is considered typical or results in infrastructure or API costs that are materially higher than the plan’s value.

12. Termination of the terms

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service at our discretion, particularly for violations of these Terms or misuse of the platform.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in Singaporean courts.

14. Affiliate Program

If you participate in the Wav Affiliate Program, your participation is governed by our Affiliate Terms & Conditions. These additional terms outline commission eligibility, prohibited activities, and compliance requirements specific to affiliate partners. Please review them carefully before joining or promoting Wav products or services.
